2012 GMC Acadia
Mileage226,025Service Date7/21/2025Services Performed- Confirmed complaint, after multiple tries to duplicate concern finally got vehicle to no crank. Can hear audible click from starter, with complaint present connected multimeter to battery and watched voltage while attempting to start the engine. Confirmed voltage of the battery does not drop but the starter solenoid can be heard engaging. This indicts the starter itself is at fault, front converter has to be removed to replace starter. Will need both converter gaskets.
- Removed both o2 sensors and removed heatshield on front manifold. Removed upper and lower flange bolts for converter. Removed front converter to access starter. Removed starter electrical connections and removed starter from vehicle. Installed new starter and assembled in reverse order with new exhaust gaskets. Confirmed proper operation of the starting system.

- Confirmed complaint of hearing noise when turning, could not confirm abs/traction control lights illuminating. Hooked up scanner, checked for history codes and found. -C0040- Right front wheel speed sensor signal erratic. Monitored live data while test driving and right front speed sensor data was constant and smooth. Brought into shop and inspected over harness and connector and found no faults. Inspected over bearing and found right front bearing to have significant play, causing intermittent concern.
- Removed right front wheel, caliper and rotor. Removed axle retaining nut and all bearing retaining bolts. Disconnected wheel speed sensor connector and removed wheel bearing. Cleaned spindle bore and installed new bearing and assembled all previously removed parts. Cleared codes, test drove and confirmed proper operation.

- Removed right front wheel, and inner fender liner and removed belt. Disconnected battery and removed alternator connectors. Removed all retaining bolts and removed the alternator. Installed new and assembled in reverse order. Started engine and confirmed proper operation of the charging system.
