- Confirmed complaint, found alternator is not charging properly and is smoking. The pulley is slipping on the alternator shaft, this indicates an internal issue within the alternator.
- Removed right front wheel, and inner fender liner and removed belt. Disconnected battery and removed alternator connectors. Removed all retaining bolts and removed the alternator. Installed new and assembled in reverse order. Started engine and confirmed proper operation of the charging system.
