Services Performed
Removed both front wheels, disconnected both sway bar links from the struts and removed abs harness hold downs. Removed lower strut bolts and upper strut bolts from both sides. Removed both struts and installed new, assembled in reverse order.
Changed all four tires, stems and balanced.
Removed both rear caliper assemblies and lowered rear sub frame. Removed all retaining bolts for the rear upper control arms. Removed both control arms and removed rear bushings from both. Installed new bushings and assembled in reverse order.
Removed both right front lower control arm bushing retaining bolts. Removed ball joint retaining nut and removed control arm. Installed new control arm and assembled in reverse order.
Checked steering and suspension components prior to repair and found. -Both upper rearward control arm bushings have play. -Right front lower control arm forward bushing has play. -Right rear sway bar link has play. After repair, hooked up heads, compensated and took measurements and found rear camber and toe are out of spec. Adjusted rear camber until both adjusters bottomed out. Both are within spec, set rear toe to within spec and test drove to confirm proper operation. During test drive noticed clicking noise in left front when turning at full lock also noticed misfire when accelerating.

Confirmed complaint, found transmission line is rusted through. Line goes from main cooler to auxiliary cooler. Recommend doing both due to rust build up.
Removed lines from cooler junction block. Removed lower radiator trim panel and removed lines from auxiliary cooler. Installed new lines and assembled in reverse order, ran engine until transmission is at operating temperature. Checked fluid level and topped off as needed, test drove and confirmed no leaks are present.

Disconnected upper charge air cooler tube from intercooler. Removed hose end from reservoir and drained the reservoir. Removed opposite hose end and installed new hose with new hose clamp. Filled cooling system and bled, confirmed no coolant leaks are present.

Removed air box assembly and disconnected all upper radiator hose clamps. Removed radiator hose assembly and installed new. Topped off coolant and bled system confirming no leaks are present.

Removed right front wheel and right front inner fender liner. Drained engine oil and engine coolant. Removed intake ducting, throttle body and all electrical connectors and vacuum hoses from upper intake plenum. Removed plenum retaining bolts and removed upper intake plenum. Disconnected all ignition coils electrical connectors, and mounting hardware. Removed ignition coils and removed all harness hold downs from valve covers and removed both valve cover assemblies. Removed coolant reservoir, supported engine with jack and removed front engine mount retaining bolts and removed front engine mount. Removed serpentine belt along with tensioner assembly and the harmonic balancer pulley. Removed all front cover retaining bolts and removed the front engine cover. Set engine to TDC on cylinder 1 and installed camshaft holding tools. Removed main timing chain tensioner, guides and the main timing chain. REmoved all four cam phasers with both secondary chains. Removed secondary tensioners. Removed all water pump retaining bolts and removed the water pump. Cleaned all sealing surfaces and installed new water pump with a new gasket. Installed new secondary tensioners and new secondary chains, re installed cam phasers ensuring timing marks line up and torqued. Installed main timing chain ensuring timing marks line up and installed new guides and a new tensioner and torqued. Assembled all previously removed parts in reverse order using new gaskets/RTV where applicable. Changed oil filter, added oil and filled cooling system. Primed oil system and started engine, bled cooling system and test drove to confirm no coolant leaks are present and to confirm proper operation of all engine systems. During test drive noticed slight exhaust leak coming from both mufflers, they are rusting at the seams.

Confirmed complaint, checked oil level and found level is proper and oil is clean. Removed intake ducting, high pressure fuel pump, ignition coils and intake plenum. Removed right side valve cover and inspected over right bank timing and found. -Right side timing chain tensioner is weak. (Valve cover gaskets, intake gaskets, front cover gaskets, water pump gaskets, timing cover/front crank seal and coolant).
Removed intake ducting, engine cover and charge air cooler pipes. Drained cooling system and removed all hoses and electrical connectors from intake plenum. Removed plenum retaining bolts and removed intake. Removed fuel lines to high pressure pump, removed pump retaining bolts and removed high pressure fuel pump. Removed ignition coils and all harness hold downs along with pcv hoses from both valve covers. Removed all valve cover retaining bolts and removed both valve covers. Set engine to TDC on cylinder one and installed cam retaining fixtures. Removed all cooling hoses from thermostat housing and coolant cross over. Removed serpentine belt and cut the stretch belt for the ac compressor. Removed thermostat housing along with the water pump. Removed all alternator retaining bolts and set alternator aside, removed all front cover retaining bolts and removed front cover. Removed both timing chain tensioners, removed all timing chain guides and chains. Removed all four VVT actuators (phasers) from the camshafts. Installed new phasers along with new bolts and torqued. Re installed timing chains ensuring timing marks line up on both chains. Re installed guides and new tensioners and torqued all hardware. Cleaned all sealing surfaces and assembled all previously removed parts in reverse order and installed new gaskets/RTV where applicable. Filled cooling system, started engine and bled cooling system. Test drove vehicle and confirmed proper operation of the engine, let vehicle sit over night and confirmed concern is no longer present.
