- Confirmed complaint, charged battery and found battery does not pass load test. With charger connected found vehicle will still not start. Jumped power to the starter and found the starter does not function. Checked for power on the signal terminal of the starter while turning the key and found power is present. This confirms the starter and battery are the cause of the concern. Will need to replace battery and starter to get vehicle running to confirm the operation of the charging system. During test drive noticed left rear bearing is noisy.
- Disconnected battery, removed cables from starter and removed retaining bolts. Removed starter and installed new, assembled in reverse order and confirmed proper operation.
- Removed pcm cover and removed pcm from top of battery. Removed hold down and removed cables. Replaced battery and assembled in reverse order. Tested charging system and confirmed proper operation of the charging system.
